The exception to this has been a number of special Secret Lair drops which included several mechanically unique cards that have yet to make an appearance in the regular game
Cards like Red Dragon Archfiend have occasionally been played in retro formats, but one Link Monster, in particular, defined the early Link era because of its powerful combo extension and interruption
