Angustum Rosé, McLaren Vale, 2021 Chardonnay Drink now or cellar 15–20A pale, coppery Grenache ros from a single sandy hillside on the McLaren Vale plains poised, dry and made for long Australian afternoons. Low vigour Grenache vines yield tight, slowly ripened bunches, cooled by evening sea breezes off the Gulf St Vincent. Harvested in the cool morning of 14 March 2021, gently crushed with just three hours' skin contact, then cool fermented at 13C for 18 days to a pale salmon hue with a complete aromatic profile.
