I expect to invest my July 9th column about why Golos is, in my opinion, yet another example of a badly designed Commander and I'll make the case for why I believe that Golos and similar cards are wrong for the format.

Since it has the changeling ability, its technically a Wraith, and it will unlock cards from all five colors if you want to go beyond mono-black

This is sort of gimmicky and has only really seen play in High Tide Legacy decks, which are a bit fringe but fun and interesting nonetheless

With cards that provide benefits to all players, not just yourself, group hug decks try to help all players in the match until they put themselves in a position to win the game
